We are reflecting on an incredibly successful Black History Month event showcasing Ndaba Mandela hosted in partnership with Hillfield Strathallan College and young leaders from HSC’s Empowerment Squared chapter and Black Students’ Association. This powerful event welcomed over 1,000 attendees from across the world and was both inspiring and actionable in setting the stage for an ongoing relationship between changemakers in Canada, South Africa, and across the globe.

We appreciate Top Marks and the Bolis Family (Rafik Bolis Mona Bolis) for stepping up and sponsoring this event, and to our media partners 93.3 CFMU McMaster University Daily News Hamilton Community News for helping us connect this experience to our community.

This event supported E2’s HOPE Development Project which is supporting economically and socially disadvantaged Liberians through digital literacy, financial literacy, and basic entrepreneurship skills, and provide them with holistic psychosocial counselling and seed funds to experiment with self-employment.
