Empowerment Squared’s Program Division provides diverse and barrier-free programs both nationally in Canada and internationally in Africa. The organization’s programming departments offer wrap-around and culturally relevant support that enables program participants to succeed and thrive in their educational and career aspirations, physical, psychological, spiritual, and social development.

School Readiness
Ages: 9-13 (Grades 4—8)
Empowerment Squared supports newcomer students entering grades 4-8 and their families that have been in Hamilton less than 6 months or under 2 years and/or starting school in Hamilton for the first time. This program is for students enrolled at Lake Avenue Elementary School.

We are excited to offer a week-long program filled with sports, art, team building activities, leadership workshops, delicious food, and so much more. Our camp is designed to provide a fun and safe environment for youth to learn, grow, and make new friends.

Ages: 14 — 19
Empowerment Squared’s Rites of Passage program provides holistic support for participants and their families as they navigate the transition from adolescence to adulthood, while providing them with information literacy and lifeskills training.

Harnessing Opportunities to Promote Entrepreneurship (HOPE) Development Program
Ages: Adults (18+) | Liberia Empowerment Squared, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, is empowers economically and socially disadvantaged Liberians aged 18-35 through digital literacy, financial literacy, and basic entrepreneurship skills, and provide them with holistic psychosocial counselling and seed funds to experiment with self-employment.
