Join us for a free summer fair and a community soccer tournament at Corktown Park
Empowerment Squared is excited to host the return of the Community Cup soccer tournament, along with a free Community Summer Fair, on Friday August 28, 2026. The day brings together youth, families, and community agencies at the historic Corktown Park.
This is a safe, positive space for families to enjoy a free summer fair, for youth 12 and older to compete in a soccer tournament, and for everyone to connect with their neighbours and build lasting memories. Whether you are a current Empowerment Squared family or new to our programs, we invite you to join us.

The Community Cup
The Community Cup is a soccer tournament that brings the community together for the love of the game. The tournament runs from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
You can sign up as a team or you can sign up alone. If you sign up alone, we will place you on a team on the day. There are two separate divisions, ages 12 to 17 and ages 18 and up. Registration stays open until we reach our cap of 40 players per division.
How the tournament works
- Each team is guaranteed four 20-minute games, with the potential for a fifth
- The tournament starts with a round robin, followed by a four-team single elimination bracket
- Bracket placement is decided by points accumulated, goal differential, and head-to-head matchups
- There are prizes for the winning teams
Bring your sportsmanship, your competitive spirit, and your energy.
How to register for the Community Cup
There is a $20 registration fee per person, and it applies only to participants who are 18 and up. Please make sure each member on a team registers, even if you sign up as a team.
