COORDINATOR, Student Navigation

Reporting to the Manager, Student Navigation, the Coordinator, Student Navigation will work closely with the Manager of SNP, and other team members to execute programming, and participate in strategic planning, outreach, reporting and administration. This position is required to work in-person at the Empowerment Squared office in Hamilton and/or Stoney Creek (all necessary precautions would be taken in accordance with health & safety guidelines). This position may require in-school work, or in the community.

The Student Navigation Program empowers newcomer and racialized participants who are experiencing challenges navigating the Education System and/or the Child Welfare System with culturally relevant holistic support. Reporting to the Manager of Student Navigation, the Coordinator, Student Navigation will be responsible for providing leadership, innovation and support to a pilot program focusing on rites of passage for youth, as well as providing 1:1 systems navigation support to families navigating the Hamilton community.

Coordinator, Educational Programming
(Maternity Leave Contract)

Reporting to the Manager, Educational Programming, the Coordinator, Educational Programming for newcomer children and youth is responsible for providing leadership and assistance with Empowerment Squared’s Educational programs, like the School Readiness Program, and other educational initiatives for newcomer and marginalized adults to further Empowerment Squared’s mission and vision.

Working alongside the Managers of Educational Programming, other E2 departments and School Board representatives, the Coordinator, Educational Programming for newcomer children and youth will help with facilitating programs and participate in strategic planning, outreach and administration for newcomer children and youth both internally and externally.
