Empowerment Squared’s 10 Year Anniversary Fundraising Gala will be held on May 5, 2018 at Hamilton’s spectacular LIUNA Station Banquet and Conference Centre. This evening will welcome over 500 caring citizens, community leaders, and international guests to celebrate and support the transformational work of Empowerment Squared. Keynote and feature speakers will be announced via Empowerment Squared communication channels.

The Gala will feature powerful stories of youth whose lives have been transformed through Empowerment Squared programs, inspiring speakers, and live performances, all capped by a night of dancing and celebration.

Empowerment Squared is a Canadian charity dedicated to empowering newcomer, refugee and marginalized youth and communities in Canada and Liberia. In 2018, we are celebrating 10 years of developing young leaders and building better communities. We are proud to have now assisted over 1500 newcomer youth and families with settling in Canada and beginning to give back to their community, and we are excited to have made significant progress towards opening the groundbreaking Liberian Learning Center.

We’ve themed our 10 year anniversary The Power of People because people have truly been our greatest resource. In spite of very few financial resources, we have found success through tens of thousands of hours of volunteering, incredible amounts of resourcefulness, and a sincere commitment to make a difference. We believe the greatest power available to change the world is people.
