Life After High School
Life After High School is a series of workshops directed at students graduating from high school. Workshops cover university/college applications, scholarship and bursary applications, resume workshops, and job search resources.
As students transition from high school to adulthood, many often continue their education at a post-secondary institution. However, some youth believe that they do not have the opportunity due to finances or educational background. Life after highschool is intended to educate and excite Hamilton youth about the options they have after highschool. Empowerment Squared shows youth of all backgrounds that they have the opportunities, regardless of how much or little money they have. A day on campus will allow senior students to have a chance to tour the McMaster campus, attend workshops, and sit in on a class of their choice to get the full experience as a university student.
Students will also have the chance to visit the Office of Financial Aid and the Centre for Student Development, where they will be given presentations on how to make post-secondary education affordable and attainable.
