The HIV/AIDS pandemic still rages onward in parts of the world while the rest of the world moves forward. Convinced that it deserves more attention, a young journalist named Luke sets out across two continents in search of the truth about the disease. However, his interviews, hospital visits, and a budding relationship with a South African artist leave him with more questions than answers.
An original production of Empowerment Squared, ShAIDS of Grey boldly tackles the stereotypes and stigmas swirling around the devastation of HIV/AIDS—a world where there is no black and white. It is a mirror that brings us face to face with ourselves. The show empowers youth to develop positive ways in dealing with, thinking about and reacting to the stigma of the HIV/AIDS pandemic as a tool for healthy lifestyles and social engagement. After just three successful staging, we have engaged an audience of over 5000 in the Hamilton and Toronto areas and receive media coverage from over five major media outlets across Canada.
