Hamilton, ON—As one of our Communication Assistants, Samantha’s responsibilities include writing content for the Empowerment Squared website, expanding the social network reach of the organization through various social media tools, and assisting with brand control. Samantha was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario and is a recent graduate from Brock University with a Business Communications Major. Hamilton, ON—The last week has been a busy one for United FC on both sides of the ocean. Both in England and in Canada, it has been difficult for coaches and team members to stay united with all the obstacles they have faced. Hope restored as Canadians raise $13,000

Hamilton, ON—United FC is excited to announce that they have raised enough money to send the remaining eight players to England after a weekend filled with overwhelming national support and media coverage. In just four days, over $13,000 in donations have come pouring in from generous individuals, companies and communities across the country. Over 75 people from all ten provinces have made contributions over the past 72 hours, with donations spanning all the way from Clarenville, Newfoundland to Kelowna, British Columbia. Read more…
United FC players denied flight to England by Air India

Toronto, ON—United FC was set to fly out of Pearson International Airport yesterday evening on their way to the Arsenal International Youth Tournament in England. However, due to some document confusion at the airport and a misunderstanding by Air India staff, eight of the players were denied access onto the flight. Read more…
United FC wins exhibition match

Hamilton, ON—The game started a little shaky for United FC. It was the first competitive game they had played since January. But it took no more than 15 minutes for their nerves to die down, and for them to settle into the game. United FC showed their fans the kind of game they could play and handily defeated Ancaster SC 4-2 in an exhibition match aimed at helping the team get ready for England. Read more…
